How To Apply For CDL Training

Here are the 3 easy steps to apply for the company-paid training & truck driving position.

Step 1: Do you meet the basic requirements?

Before you begin, make sure you meet these basic requirements:

  • Are at least 22 years of age
  • Held a current US driver’s license for 8 of the last 12 months
  • Do not have a conviction for DUI (drug or alcohol related) in past 5 years
  • Able to pass the DOT Drug Screen and DOT Physical (learn more)

    Physical Nature of the Job

    There may duties in addition to the driving task for which a driver is responsible and needs to be fit. Some of these responsibilities are: coupling and uncoupling trailer(s) from the tractor, loading and unloading, inspecting the operating condition of the tractor and/or trailer(s) before, during and after delivery of cargo; The above tasks demand agility, the ability to bend and stoop, the ability to maintain a crouching position to inspect the underside of the vehicle, frequent entering and exiting the cab, and the ability to climb ladders on the tractor and/or trailer(s).
